Nutrition Day in Mohale’s Hoek – 06 May 2025

RSDA proudly participated in Nutrition Day by presenting their unique local chicken recipe, emphasizing the delicious taste and benefits of eating clean, locally sourced chicken. This event highlights the importance of nutritious, culturally relevant foods in promoting health and wellness in the community. RSDA’s contribution not only showcased culinary tradition but also encouraged healthy eating habits through clean, wholesome ingredients.

Study Tour of Vegetable farmers to South Africa

The Lesotho vegetable farmers study tour was organized by Seahlolo Newspaper and under
the sponsorship of many organizations, RSDA being one of the main contributors. In
partnership with Food For Mzansi, the inaugural study tour is hosted in South Africa to bring together Lesotho farmers to explore best practices for producing organic and
competitive quality produce.
It was two-day study tour and the goal was to enhance local production and bolster self-sufficiency in Lesotho. This tour has been meticulously designed to enhance farmer’s
understanding of fresh produce market access, quality assurance, and yield improvement. RSDA sponsored 10 progressive horticultural farmers from the 10 District Forums an
opportunity to explore the Lesotho Vegetable Farmers study tour.

Celebrating World Bee Day

Celebrating World Bee Day in the presence of bee farmers across the country, to have the opportunity to advertise their products, learn and share information about bee farmers. The event was in Mohale;s Hoek district on the 24 may 2023.

Mokhotlong District Farmers Forum hosting a national Slow Food event with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and many other important stakeholders. At least 500 people participated in speeches , food market, experience sharing, eat-in and entertainment. All 10 districts in Lesotho are now on board.

Post Budget meeting
RSDA ,Lesotho counsel of NGOs and ESAFF hosted a post budget meeting on the 19th July 2017.The meeting took place at Victoria Hotel Maseru and RSDA invited some of its farmers to attend the meeting.
